Darrell E. Morton Jr. is an aviation professional and certified UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) pilot with robust technology and training experience in the K-12 space and a professional communications background. He has effectively combined his extensive educational leadership experience with his media production proficiency to innovatively use drones to motivate young people to explore careers in this field.
Darrell is also actively involved in sports as a college baseball umpire. He has occasionally served as a substitute umpire in the minor leagues of Major League Baseball. His military service in the United States Army and his academic achievements—earning a Master’s degree from Ball State University and a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University—further exemplify his diverse capabilities and commitments. Darrell also contributes to his alma mater as a board member and founder of the “Sycamore Alumni Legacy of Change” and “IPS to ISU Blue Road” endowments, supporting Indiana State University students.
